Timothy Curtis: Inkblots and Feelings Charts

Timothy Curtis's first solo institutional exhibition in the United States features his Inkblots and Feelings Charts paintings at Atlanta Contemporary. Curated by Aaron Levi Garvey, the show includes two series that were conceived between 2009 and 2014 while Curtis was in prison.

By embracing ambiguity within the Inkblots and levity and playfulness within the Feelings Charts, Curtis creates visual experiences that transcend the canvas. He invites viewers to join him on his decades long journey of introspection and self-study, prompting exploration of personal narratives, internalized emotions, and collective understanding of one another.
