Sol Summers: Project Space

Sol Summers is an LA based painter. Sol’s most recent body of work, deeply autobiographical in its nature, tells the story of a painter preparing for a show. The protagonist of his paintings is plagued by anxiety and self-doubt, but the story which unfolds is ultimately a hopeful one. As Sol tells it, “The character in the paintings is a younger version of myself, and the paintings all depict memories from the past couple of years… the missing painting that ends the series is me, the present me, who is far happier and less worried than the younger me would’ve ever thought possible."
